Snapshot Saturday - Layla and Abbey

Our largest furry family member meets our smallest family member on Christmas morning.  Layla is hard to miss, but please look closely for Abbey (I've zoomed a couple of extras in case you miss her)...she's the teeny one with the big round black eyes staring into the face of the giant ;)

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce @ At Home with Books

  1. Haha! I love it! I was the keeper of two dwarf hamsters for a week before Christmas. They were a present for my niece and nephew from Santa, and I was in charge of hiding them at my house. When the cat and the dog took note of this new guest, they were none too pleased! It seems like Layla is handling it much better than my dog and cat did! :)

Have a safe and Happy New Year!

  3. Hamsters are fearless, aren't they? I had a hamster once and no matter how much our cat tried to scare her, she just wasn't bothered.

P.S. You are right about the events in our lives balancing out. I'm looking forward to what 2012 may bring. Happy New Year, and hope it is a good one for you and your family :)

  6. We got a hamster this year too. His name is Nutter-Butter, and he is adorable. I love to kiss him on his tummy while his legs pedal furiously! Great photo today!

  8. I'm pretty sure that little one had big eyes of terror. :)

The server for my site has been down this morning (which is frustrating since I have no control over it). My apologies though! I'm still trying to get around to visit all of the Saturday posts.

  13. We had hamsters, fish and other small creatures when our girls were growing up. As long as they didn't get out, it was okay, but occasionally one would escape.
