My son plays tackle, and there are parents who TRULY BELIEVE their kid is the next pro star. It gets ugly, ever single year. My best friend's husband coaches, but I wouldn't want that job for a million dollars. He would tell you, the parents are worse than the kids. Ten times worse. I think as a parent, I feel it is my job to get my kid through this experience with the best memories, and for me to absorb the crap. Sometimes it doesn't always work that way, but I try. (While I rant and rave at night to my husband.)Sandyhttp://sandynawrot.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6008560569188093094.post-26628504094566511892011-09-15T17:12:23.407-05:002011-09-15T17:12:23.407-05:00My kids are doing community theatre again after a ...My kids are doing community theatre again after a two year break. I am writing about it tomorrow but when I read your post, I couldn't help but compare it to the community theatre experience we've had over the past 6 years. Some of the parents are just jackasses. Sorry. They are. We are required to volunteer a certain number of hours and I always work backstage, because that is where all the action is but good gawd! I have to keep the claws out back there!Tihttp://bookchatter.netnoreply@blogger.com
