Homesick

I'm working in San Francisco today while my family in MS is snug in bed since schools have been cancelled due to the ice/snow mess.

I don't think that's fair.
In Mississippi we LIVE for snow days.
Because they don't happen very often.

Some might say, "But, you're in San Francisco!!  How fun is that??"
My response to that is "What part of the word WORK do you not understand??"
Over the years I have managed to see the sights a little at a time, but when I return from meetings, etc. I am exhausted...and there's always homework...there's also a 2 hour time difference that makes me need to go to bed at 8 p.m. in Cally...bc I'm old and need my rest.
For the last two nights I've had tomato soup and a bread basket from room service as supper and then collapsed for the night.
Whoo Hoo!!
Fun City!!!!

Can you tell I'm just a little cranky about the snow day I'm missing out on????

My buddy Uh-Oh is probably also snug in the bed with my youngest...
or either snuggled with Beneigt in a black puff of fur that makes it impossible to tell where one cat ends and the other begins.

When the family starts moving around he'll probably go watch the printer.

I've never seen anything like it.
If he hears the printer from the other side of the house, he'll come running to investigate.
I wonder if he'll ever decide he's got it figured out.

Yeah, I know I'm a big ole baby.
:(

  1. You're not a big ol' baby. I don't blame you for wanting to be home. I love to travel, but travel for work, all by yourself, kind of sucks.
I hope you get home soon and can enjoy some down time with your family (and kitties)

  2. I wish snow were a fun event here instead of a pain in the butt. I'd take working in San Francisco with room service right about now!

  3. I understand completely. Given the choice I would much rather be home with family and my wacky cat with his keen interest in the printer. I just hope you don't find half a printer of your doorstep as a "gift". Hope your home soon.
