Saturday Snapshot - Fishing with Daddy :)

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce over @ At Home with Books.

When I arrived home from the grocery story yesterday afternoon, this was what had been going on in my absence.  My youngest was so proud of her very first "real" fish and was determined to eat her catch.  Once she supervised the Head of My Household cleaning, filleting and otherwise "preparing" the fish for the pan, however, she quickly changed her mind and opted for a slide of cheese pizza instead.

No more worries for the fish in our lake...my little angler will toss them back in from now on.
I guarantee it.

  2. So sweet, as I began the story I thought, how brave and mature of a little girl to watch the whole process and eat the fish... :)

  3. Cleaning a fish is a gross business. My kids love to fish with my dad when we see my parents in IN. My daughter actually likes to watch my dad clean them. I'm not sure what that says about her, but she does want to be a vet someday...

  4. Ha - my son loves fishing and will eat what he has caught. But he lets his dad do the gutting and won't be there for it. He does say goodbye to the fish very nicely and politely beforehand, though... :)

  5. An adorable picture of a proud moment. And yes, after seeing all the guts, I'd opt for pizza too!

  6. What a cute story! She looks so proud...and rightly so too that is one nice catch! I used to love fishing with my dad growing up. Although I hated bating the hook.

  7. Love this story, it sounds so much like something my youngest would do.
