It's finally here.
We've spent the last couple of weeks somewhere in limbo waiting for this day...prom, senior parties, pictures, Awards Day, fnished with high school but not yet finished with high school...technically.
Today the technicality resolves itself.
And, I honestly think we're ready.
We're just tired...and actually ready to move on to the next stage.
Maybe they did this to us on purpose.
A host of family will be here by noon and we're looking forward to spending some time with them celebrating this major milestone in my firstborn's life.
Daddy and I love you, Kendal...and we are sooooo proud of all that you've accomplished and the young woman you are becoming.
Enjoy this day!
:)
Congrats Kendal!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! It's bittersweet, isn't it? Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI will be a total basket case when mine get to this point. But I also remember what it was like the last couple of weeks before I delivered them. God does get you ready for the tough times by making you suffer beforehand. After sitting around listening to my friends talk about sending their kids to college, that is what I'm most scared of.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Kendal! All best wishes for the future!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is leaving school next Thurs and has her prom in June. She will be going back for 6th form. It is all a little diff here in the UK.

Congratulations, Kendal!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ladies :) I became a little misty when Kendal's class began their walk to their seats...I composed myself though and made it through the rest of the ceremony with narry a tear. Lunch and dinner with family was incredible...so good to come together to remind her just how many people truly love and support her.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I know you are very proud. It definitely IS a bittersweet time.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Kendal and both you and your head of household. I remember like it was yesterday my oldest walking to her seat. Sunday she left for your grand European tour and after a trip to Boston with her boyfriend this summer she'll be leaving home for college. I'm trying very hard not to be weepy all the time. So, I very impressed you kept the tears in check. I hope you all have a very happy summer before this next big step.
